Default ● Yorkshire Dales & Moors drive - Saturday 11th October *

Probably the last BIG one of the year for us with a combined Dales/Moors drive so come along for a great blast in your S :-)

Starting at The Devonshire Arms Hotel, Bolton Abbey, BD23 6AJ at 07:15hrs for a 07:30hrs depart.

We will head North through the heart of the Dales then west to Hawes then up the superb Buttertubs pass.

After that it's east ALL the way to the seaside for fish and chips at Scarborough via the Moors on a mix of B and A roads.

You can join us as we leave York, when we hit the coast or anywhere else along the route. Drop in or out whenever!

Hopefully as the original poster I will have a car!

Took it to Honda York today for that awful knocking noise, warm low revs...

£40 for initial inspection. They are not sure what it is. Could be timing could be something else with engine. So another £205 to strip it down. Thought about taking it somewhere else but might as well let Honda give the the full detailed report on it.

New engine £10k he said worse case. Not that I would get one from them!

Oh well..... Early next week I should know

That's not what I want to hear Steve!!

I'm not going to pre-empt any conclusions as I know how you must be feeling right now.

Best wishes for a good result Buddy

Great. Get out for a blast regardless of me! The way I see it I've drove at least 800 miles with that rattle so if Honda York say its x and it will cost y to fix I know its drivable with no power loss, for sure :-)

So unless they say its going to BLOW UP if I drive it any more I will be out !!
