Default Top end noise..need tips/advise

Please read my introductory thread before continuing to get some background on the car and better understand my issue!

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/112...#entry23656888

So I am off this Friday and plan to start trying to locate this little "woodpecker" in this motor. I believe it is top end noise, so I plan to start by removing the valve cover and inspecting the cams, valves, retainers, etc.. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but by no means an expert, especially when it comes to Honda. Basically I am seeking any tips or advice as to what I should be looking for or inspecting. I will post pictures through the process. Any help is greatly appreciated. Help me get this bada** back on the road! Thanks in advance.

Here's a video of the first time I cranked it up. Keep in mind it had been sitting for 7 months without running. As you can see, no smoke from exhaust nor under hood. Ticking increasing with throttle.

Weird noise man. Doesn't sound like bearing to me. Drop that oil pan and check the bearings . I have a feeling u made out like a bandit on this deal. Start with the basics . Valve adjustment , TCT inspection, drop pan.

She ran the dog sh*t out of it that's for sure haha it's seen better days. Hoping all it needs is a valve adjustment.
