Warwickshire Meet - Thursday 3rd September 6:30pm *
Hi All,
Looking to set up a regular monthly meet in the Warwickshire area.
Following similar meet layout, proposal would be to have the meet on the 1st Thursday of every month.
First meet to take place on 3rd Sept.
Plan to met at pub, have a catch up, if weather is nice, go for a drive and stop at another pub for food / drink.
Route planned for Thursday evening.
Meeting at The Chequers Inn for a start up drink. Aim to arrive around 6:30, have a drink and leave around 7:15.
http://the-chequers-ettington.co.uk/
Then on a 35mile drive to cover "fish Hill" and ending at The Four Alls (Welford) for another drink / Food.

Comments / suggestions on route welcome.

Hi,
Its quite a quiet area and normally at 7:30 most traffic has died down. Always do one and decide if traffic is too heavy.
Have also contemplated trying to do a "Ricky Run" of this area. Maybe also try and end at Super Sausage. (Use to attend when I live closer, now its a 100mile to get to the start point).
So kep eyes open and hopefully Ill get something arrange for a early morning breakfast run.

Hi
What a great idea.
I do have a suggestion to make, however. A Thursday evening, with several S2000's, doing 20 mph in rush hour is not ideal. Why not do what I used to do with the Caterham lot ('Blatchat') and meet somewhere for a blat at 6 am on a Sunday and then have breakfast somewhere at the end of the blat?
Just a thought.

I'm sure Shadow meant a non alcoholic drink we wouldn't want to promote driving under the influence

I would also suggest that having a drink at the Chequers before then going for a spirited drive, isn't sensible. A cheeky beer at the Chequers after a run out, however

Anyone joining for the 1st Warwickshire meet on Thursday?
Current weather forecast is dry so a drive would be in order. If this should change, then we will just keep ourselves busy in the Four Alls pub.
