Valve cover tube seal
the right side looks correct to me- it appears as it should. The one on the left will flip upwards if you try to put the VC back on.
Also, I run a thin film of oil around the top of the plug tubes and seal to aid in installation. I then work the seals over the plug tubes by fingering them over the tube slowly, one bit at a time.

When I performed my valve adjust I had an issue with the tube seals. This is the response from Billman. From the DIY Valve Adjust DBW (Warning for DBW 2006-2009 )

With the cover upside down on the work bench, the 4 tube seals should look like this \/ \/ \/ \/
When you pull the cover, some of them get stuck to the tube, and you will get this \/ \/ /\ /\
The last two have been pulled in the wrong direction. Just push them back down with your finger.
If you don't, you can cut the lip on the tube seal.
You can likely check yours just by pulling the coil packs and inspect them with a bright light. You can see the seal edge around the tube.
I've pulled over 1000 covers, and the chances of the seals inverting is 95%

FWIW...I coat the rubber seals with a bit of silicone grease prior to replacing the valve cover. Helps keep the seals from hanging up and being damaged by the sheet metal tube.

the FSM also shows the correct orientation in cross section. look thru Robinette's Valve adjustment post to see the diagram.
