This is awesome! I wish I didn't already have a wing...

 

This thing looks like a great balance of quality, performance, and price.

I really would love someone to come out with an economical chassis mount solution that kept the wing within the envelope of the car for rules/classification's sake.

 

Designer/manufacturer here--do you have the rulebook entry for the class you're talking about? I'll read through it and see if there's a way to make a legal CGTechnic version. As it stands, this design is NASA legal for TT, although those rules are quite generous (no wider than the car, and no higher than 8" above the roofline).

 

For HC:

2. Any rear deck spoiler/wing that attaches to bodywork is allowed. Rear spoiler may not protrude
beyond the overall outline of the body when viewed perpendicular to the ground above the
part.

Right now my car has a Voltex clone on it but its attached to the trunk. The airfoil itself is probably all I need but the current mounts certainly could be improved upon.

As a consumer/customer I would be totally willing to spend like ~$350 on a product that:
-allowed retrofit of broad range of current trunk mounted wings to be used
-required no welding skills
-wasn't stupidly hard to set up
-kept the wing just barely below the roofline
-kept the wing just barely in front of the rear bumper cover
-significant impact trunk access would be OK for me
-significant butchering of body/trunk would also be OK for me

Maybe that criteria creates a bit too niche of a product but one can dream... Currently I am thinking that I will just end up bringing the car to a fabricator this winter and let them have at it.
