September 24 - 2016 Tri-State Drive
DATE: September 24th
TIME: 10 AM
Alternate Rain Date: None at this time. I expect we will have great weather
START ADDRESS:
East Greenbush Community Library - 10 Community Way, East Greenbush, NY 12061
Inerim Halt: Hemmings Motor Museum in Bennington, VT
FINISH ADDRESS AND LATE MEAL STOP:
Sports Grill - 4 Middle Mannix Road, Rensselaer, NY 12144
We expect to get to Sports Grill around 3 PM.
Drive Length- 143 Miles (this could be shortened)
Rules to adhere by (or ignore):
- Bring Radios if you have them.
- Come with a full tank of gas and be sure all fluids are topped up and your tires are set to the right PSI.
- Do not announce your arrival in style when you arrive at the start location or at any point on the drive.
- Keep your eyes peeled for pedestrians, critters, joggers, and cyclists. Keep yourself safe and also look out for your fellow S2000 owner.
- The first leg of the drive is about 2 hours or less depending on traffic. If need be I can halt at the 1 hour mark. If not we are going to make our first stop at Hemmings Auto Museum.
- At any point of the drive, if you lose sight of the cars ahead, keep going. We will stop somewhere to wait for you to catch up.
- Conversely, if you think the pace of the cars behind you is faster, let them by at the first and safest opportunity. They will appreciate it.
- This is not a race. It will be a drive at gentle pace so we can all enjoy some fresh air and some great weather. We will adhere to the rules of the road. Don't come here hoping to drag race another car into a corner. We are not F1 as much as we think we are
Here is a map closely resembling the route we intend to take

Hi A2, been awhile. I'm interested but, of course, it depends on McWheels status. He just got married last weekend and we'll have to see what his availability is. Bugsy was best man and it was an amazing event, the hosts had an original sputnik satellite and the crystal ball from the wizard of oz on display. Great time..Oh yeah, open bar

Hogan - good to see a post from you. Missed seeing you at Watkins Glen in July. Bugsy said you were working. Hoping you and he can come and McWheel too if unless he is off on an extended honeymoon.
Congrats to Keith and all the best for a happy married life.
