Hey thanks for taking the time to explain my options with the alarm today. Ill keep you posted on when im ready. I think im also going to need a remote start on my 02 MDX for the winter time. Whats is the operating range of the remote start?

One question is there a way to have a turbo timer hooked up to the alarm ? So you can set the alarm and it idles for a bit.

Well maybe two questions What is the range of the remote start I would like to get one for Lannie's Pilot.

range differs in price... the 175 works off the factory tansmitters...which arent the best range in the world... and the 225 price is the one where i put in new transmitters that will lock and unlock the car... and remote start it... and it'll be about 1/4 mile -->1/3mile range...

i wouldn't really recommend the 175 remote start for hondas or acuras... because the factory remotes wont respond to the car when its remote started... so you would have to use the key in the door to open it while its been remote started... but if you dont mind doing that then they work really good.. no problems what so ever with them... and if you think the range on the factory remote is good then save yourself the extra 50 for the remotes... and stay with the 175 one....IMO

These are still basic alarms right? Meaning they just make a lot of noise? Not hooked up to gps or police like lojak and certain alarms i have seen?

yup just basic alarms... with the two way pagers... no lojack or gps.. although if your interested in them i could probably get them for you ... (not lojack...) it would be a company called guidepoint tracking system.. and ide have to get you a price i dont know them off the top of my head...

the gps... and lojack are never included with the alarms... there always a seperate unit you have to purchase..

With the proximity sensor, will you have sensors sticking out on the top or something? How do those work? And where does it mount if it does mount somewhere?
Also how much would it cost to install the viper with proximity?

proximity sensor will be hidden in the center console... (nothing will be visible... no wires or anything.. and everything will be well hidden....)

viper alarm and proximity sensory prices are above... but.. the sale price is 475 for alarm and proximity sensor.... and the regular price is 525.... all prices given are everything necessary to install the alarm... the alarm itself... and installation....
