Default Door Frozen Shut

During the last couple days of frost and snow, I've had real problems with the drivers door.

The deadlock action appears to be frozen on and as such, I can't open the door!

I had to wiggle the lock switch inside the car a few times (it was jammed) before I broke the ice and freed up the mechanism.

Anyone else had this problem before

I've also somehow managed to switch around the lock switch action! When the switch is flush, the door is locked and when the switch is proud the door is open. The opposite of the passenger door switch

We had some freaky weather here (dense fog @ -5C) and i had the exact same problem. luckily passneger door worked. What i did is closed off all vents except the one that points to the driver's door, turned on the heater at max and drove like that. Then i spread a little bit of lock deice solution on the key and used the key to open and close the lock several times. After that the lock started working again.
