Default central locking not working :(

hi

ive bought an 01 s2k and my central locking doesnt work.
when i use the remote to lock/unlock the car, both doors open and shut without an issue.

now when i get inside my car and lock my door, i notice that the passenger door does not lock.

but if i press the lock button on my remote, magically both doors lock...

any idea what could be the issue?
ive taken the inside door skins off and havnt not found any loose wires.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

Are you trying to lock the doors using the drivers door lock or something? The S2000 only has power lock from the remote only, otherwise you have to do it by hand.

actually for mines, if i lock the driver's door, the passenger locks as well too. but it won't unlock both doors if i unlock the driver's door. maybe you should try leaving the door cap off and then locking the driver's side door to visually see if there is anything impeding the locking of the door. it might not be a loose wire thing but a mechanical thing.

ill double check my user manual, but im positive its meant to have central locking, where you push the lock on the drivers door and the passenger door locks too...

there is nothing impeding the locking of the door because when i press the lock/unlock button on my remote, both doors lock and unlock fine.

then only issue is when i manually lock the drivers door, the passenger door does not lock (im led to believe that the passenger door should lock too if i manually lock the driver's door)

any thoughts?
thanks guys

have a friend nearby with another s?

try unplugging the module above the dead pedal area and swapping for theirs just to see if the module that controls it is bad.

well the fact that the passenger door locks and unlocks via the remote, leads me to believe that the motor is fine.

maybe the problem does not exist with the passenger door itself?
obviously there is a trigger from the drivers door to tell the passenger door to lock when the drivers lock is pressed from the inside??
