Talking you CAN fit four tires into an S2000!

Luckly, the front two 215's are narrow enough to go side by side where the passenger seat used to be once you take it out. Then one 255 in the trunk and one 255 on top of the 215s!

What are the specs on these? As in tread wear and ratings? Are these any better than BFG g-Force T/A KDW 2's? I was thinking about putting them on my Volks.

How much was the set? And why didn't you go with a 225 in the front?

Treadwear 200, survey ratings are pretty good on tirerack:

wet traction for Z1 versus KDW 2s: 8.6/8.5
Cornering Stability 9.3/8.9
Dry Traction 9.5/9.1
Steering Response 9.2/9.0
Ride comfort: 8.2/7.7
noise comfort: 7.8/6.4
treadwear 7.4/7.8

I'd go with these over the KDWs but don't expect them to last long. I'm going to Hallett on Sunday so I can report back on how these feel compared to OEM RE050's. It set me back 590 shipped but there's a mail in rebate for 50 bucks going on now.

I didn't go with a 225 in the front because I wanted to keep similar tire stagger to OEM. the OEM RE050 rubber is narrower than a "true" 215 tire. So I went with a real 215 tire and upgraded the rears.

Got these mounted and balanced along with a custom alignment (UK spec with less rear toe) at C.A.R.S., good price and service! I give them two thumbs up!

I have a picture somewhere of two 255's sittin in my passenger seat. Good idea of taking the seat out to fit all 4.

Good purchase too, I have read some really great things about the star spec's. I may try a set of rears once my RE01-R's wear out.

I'll be interested to see what you think of the 215-255 setup; I just went to 225-255.
