care to help me swap one then ian the calipers are £120 from JRT ive had the garage do one side with the MOT ( cost me £50 to get swapped... ) as it was un drivable... any advice would be good! i thought it was a tough job to swap them ?
i just felt it was worth trying to wind in and out to see if it will unstick ! i dont have the cash at the moment , clutch went on landrover - and 2 MOT's 2 lots of tax - and insurance all in the same month so have to sort this issue cheaply ! ( im already eating beans on toast.. ) oh and yes i too need a new roof - but will live with the sticky take on rear window

It's one of those things that you think you can fix on the cheap...but you cant IME. The pistons tend to give up the ghost with replacement about £50/60 -
Once you changed the piston you might as well rebuild the thing so you buy a rebuild kit (rebuild kits don't include the piston) for about £50 or so. Then you've got to put all the effort into cleaning the seals and putting the thing back together - effectively rebuilding it, or you could just buy one that has already been done for about £100 (exchange)

How to change them:
1. Take the old one off
2. Put the new one on
3. Bleed the brakes.

Tom, if you can get down this way, or over to Squeak's one weekend (when she gets back) and I'll happily give you a hand, or I'll do the work and you give me hand
