I was working on an older Subaru forester and noticed that the wb sensor was the same as the aem sensor.

Its a bosch 17018 sensor from a 2000 Forester. I got mine for $53 through a buddy that works at a parts store.

I tested it out on the dyno yesterday and it works perfectly.

yeah, it will work with any of teh aem widebands

I have an aem gauge. Do I need to calibrate it at all if i change to a new sensor>?

 

no, thats what i like about the aem stuff, the sensors are calibrated from the factory so they all read exactly the same

aem widebands have no calibration

 

I'm disappointed that AEM wouldn't provide a way to calibrate it. I don't believe that any sensor will stay in perfect calibration, so I would want a way to calibrate it.

 

So how do you know that your sensor is bad? I just put in a used aem wideband and ny gauge stays on 14.7 is mine bad?

Most other manufacturers allow calibration for clean air like innovate and zeixtronix etc.
