Hi Spec BBK Group Buy
Ok peeps,
A number of people have shown an interest in the BBK that Hi Spec designed for me and as promised I will organise a group buy.
http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/
Their contact details are 01322 286 850 for overseas callers 0044 1322 286 850, Email sales@hispecmotorsport.co.uk
The person I am dealing with is Fiona.
The kit I am running is the Monster 6 caliper with 335 x 28mm two piece disks, these are the biggest of the 3 calipers offered for the is setup, they also do a Billet 4 using a 325 x 28 disk and Monster 4 caliper using the larger disk.
The kits include everything for either the front or rear brakes, calipers, mounting brackets, two piece disks with aluminium bells, braided brake hoses, 1 ltr of 5.1 fluid, all the bolts etc and brake pads, for this group buy I will price everything based on DS2500 pads as these seem very popular within the S2000 community and grooved disks (Plain disks are available).
They will also supply a setup for 16 inch wheels based on all the above calipers but with a 315 x 28mm two piece disk.
They are happy to ship abroad so if anyone lurking from other countries is interested I can get a price shipped to you!
The calipers and bells come in the following colours Red, Blue, Gold, Black and Silver.
There will also be a rear kit available once I get back to them so they can measure up!
Hi Spec have offered a 15% discount on 5 - 9 kits
and 25% on 10 and above I will collate all the information and pass it on to Hi Spec once sorted individuals will have to contact Hi Spec direct to pay a 25% deposit they accept credit cards but not paypal. The balance due on despatch. I hope you will agree these are great prices for a top quality BBK, if anyone from overseas wishes to take part in the group buy I will contact HiSpec to discuss VAT and shipping and PM you direct.

A couple of piccies of my setup
Thanks to Steve I now have a datalogger I am getting used to, to give you an idea I managed 1.16G of decelleration today with my setup, if anyone else has similar information for their brake setup it would be good to have a comparison. I will log the standard brakes tomorrow and edit this post.

Bloody good prices there.
GLWTGB, if anyone needs calipers then you may as well buy into this IMO.
Did 1.3x in the 3er once, bit squirrely, with that S2K and a blower I reckon you can do that on acceleration too
You will probably see I already punched in the feet distance presets for the regular 1/4mile tests too.
That would be good if you can launch well.
And theres a 0-60-0 and also programmable x-0mph values you can play with.
Will be good to see some numbers rather than the highly subjective bum feel ones.
For example a real datalog test of the 335i against the Lancer Evo in braking is quite a surprise for 2pc Brembos on a lighter car :-
"Despite its large four-piston Brembo brake calipers, the Evo doesn't stop as short as the 335i.
From 60 mph the stopping distances are 115 feet and 109 feet, respectively.
The Evo's brakes offered more immediate pedal response, but once engaged aggressively, they lack the effectiveness we'd expect in a system this costly.
Conversely, the BMW's simpler sliding-caliper brakes setup works brilliantly by offering less immediate bite but better overall effectiveness."
Food for thought.... and I know you are chasing heat/reliability issues.
But better isnt always 'better' - at least on the road.
I always thought there was little that would outbrake a well sprung S2000.
And its still true IMO.
