Racing Brake vented rear BBK
After RacingBrake helped me to create a custom rotor for the Accord caliper project, i persuade them to help solve the issue of the over heated rear brakes.
RacingBrake have been working hard and will soon release their rear BBK for the s2000. the unique part about this rear BBK is that it will use a vented rotor along with the OEM rear caliper to retain the e-brake system. the kit will come with a new bracket for the caliper, not an adapter type bracket.
they will offer two size for the rear BBK( +1 and +2).
+1) 307mm x 17mm (two piece); this will be a perfect match for the Accord front caliper
+2) 328mm x 17mm (two piece); this is suited for existing front BBK
they will first release the +2 rear BBK, this is for people who already have front BBK but are looking for a rear BBK to balance out the brakes.
soon later, they will release the +1 rear BBK which will be a good match for 4 piston front caliper with oem disk, or with the Accord front caliper.
they will so release there own front BBK with 4 piston calipers and rotor size will be 324mm x 28mm (two-piece).
i think with the greatly larger rear rotor, a performance street pads could be use on track. the vented rotor will also reduce the heat tremendously. the aluminum hat will reduce heat transfer to the rear hub and increase the life of the rear wheel bearing.
pricing is to be announce but they will likely have a Pre-order discount.
here are some pics of the +2 rear BBK

We already have a front OEM caliper upgrade, from a Honda Accord:

EDIT: although, not quite in Kit form...but pretty close. You can buy the Caliper and bracket from Honda and then a custom rotor from Racing Brake.

Racing Brakes has some unique features which are patented. the Center Mount feature is nice because you can bring one spare rotor and it will work for both sides, even though it's curve vanes.
Convergent Vane - US Patent#: 7097007
Convergent vanes: This is RacingBrake’s patented design. Convergent vanes are the most innovative design, and are paired with the latest production technology. Our design aims to further improve the cooling efficiency over traditional curved vanes.
The suction (air inlet) is wider allowing more air intake.
The discharge (air outlet) is narrower to increase air flow.
As the air pressure increases towards discharge, the air temperature also increases. The number of cooling vanes (which act as the heat sink / heat exchanger) also increases to handle the higher heat load.
RB's exclusive design works out more effectively especially for curved vane because the nature of geometry. The outer circumference is larger than the inner circumference, this makes traditional curved vane design to have a wider outlet and narrower inlet which is in opposition to the need of heat removal from the disc and is one of the prime reasons of warping and cracking due to the uneven disc surface temperature.
Most of our competition has only one vane count (ie. 36, 42, 48, 52 or more). RB’s products have variable vane count (inner-36, outer-54, total-72). We even vary the configuration of vanes. The vane count is not the only important factor; the design is also critical. RB's vane count and vane designs optimize the cooling effect and achieve an uniform disc temperature across the brake surface.
Open Slots - US Patent#: 7097007
Has the advantages of both drilled & slotted rotors
Allows the disc to expand and contract and prevents the disc from cracking or warping
Increasing cooling area and retains more friction surface
Slots relieves thermal stress
Slots are self cleaning and the pad build up will not clog the slots and are exhausted via the rotor edge keeping the disc surface clean
Reduces brake pad dust buildup and keeps the wheel clean through vacuum effect
Center Mount - US Patent#: 7568560
Convergent vane allows greater airflow than conventional curved vane.
More efficient air ventilation – Center mount provides air inlets from both inboard and outboard sides.
Heat load on rotor hat is balanced from both sides of friction surfaces.
Heat transfer from disc surface to rotor hat is greatly reduced due to longer distance to travel.
Stress load is balanced due to the mounting surface being at the center plane of the disc.
The hat can be mounted to disc on either side without having to identify left or right sides, yet once mounted, the rotor is truly directional! This avoids mix-up in installation and allows for easier inventory of parts.

Couple of questions...
Why would their front BBK be 4mm smaller than their rear +2?
Wouldnt that make it rear bias? or it wouldnt because the front would have a bigger pad size compare to the limited pad size of the oem caliber of the rear?
