Default Restoring Suede steering wheel

I have a Personal steering wheel in suede. The suede has worn off on the top half of the wheel, and have been told to use fine grit sand paper, or a special brush to get the suede back to life.

Has anyone done this? Thanks.

UPDATE

Decided to clean my steering wheel today and bring my suede back to life.

Tried googling but there was barely enough info. I heard sand paper or a brush works so I went out and got some.

Fine grit sand paper/Tried on one spot but didnt work
Steel braided brush(for washing dishes)
Soft brush with large eraser.

I guess the reason why the suede goes away is because the oils/dirt transfer from our hands to the wheel smashing the suede flat.

I took the eraser and the soft brush and cleaned all of the dirty stains off the wheel.

Then sprayed the wheel with Goo Gone automotive to remove the grease/oils off the wheel.

While the wheel is wet with the ohwe goowy I started to brush the wheel with the steel brush. Small circles with a good amount of pressure.

Before

After

Wheel is a Personal in size 320mm, which I feel is perfect for the S2000 compared to the stock 350mm.
