Thumbs up Help with service bulletin, please!

So I took my S for a long drive this past weekend and I got a CEL even though the car was running perfectly. Went to Autozone and they read "P0600". After some searching I found the following on S2KCA...

"theres a bulletin from Honda regarding this.

Applies To: 2006 S2000 – ALL
2007 S2000 – From VIN JHMAP2...7S000001 thru JHMAP2...7S003235

The MIL comes on with DTC P0600 (serial
communication link malfunction).

PROBABLE CAUSE
When the ignition switch is on for about 4 or more
hours (engine running or not), the ECM can
misinterpret the serial communication signal and set
DTC P0600.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Update the PGM-FI software with the HDS."

So I emailed that text to my dealer so I could schedule the update but they claim they can't find that bulletin. Does someone have more info on this like a specific bulletin number so I have all of my ducks in a row?
THANKS!

Hmm. Close but not quite...that's not the code my car is throwing. Mine is P0600. Thanks though.

Edit: I think the TSB might be 01-023 if anyone can get the PDF of that?

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/tsbs/results.cfm

These are the only two TSBs I find for the 06' S2000 at the NHTSA site.If you don't get satisfactory feedback on your issue from the dealer I suggest you contact Honda of N.A. They were helpful with me when I contacted them as to whether my 06' had had the recommnended upgrade to the onboard puter. The TSB I'm refering to is listed on this site.Click on S2000 library and then scroll down to service bullitens.07-006 is the bulliten listed.

I know. Why all of the TSBs are not listed at the NHTSA site I simply don't know. It becomes a game of cat and mouse to get some straight dope. I wish you luck. Like I mentioned above. If all else fails ...give Honda Of N.A. a call.Voice your issue and have your VIN handy. They may be of some help.

Thanks. Can you point me in the direction of a number that will get me in touch with someone there?

Yea.Here's who I called. This info is listed on page 206 of the vehicle owners manual. Customer Service Info. U.S owners ,American Honda Motor Co. Inc. 1919 Torrance Blvd. Torrance Cal. 90501-2746 (but I believe the zip has changed) Tel. (800) 999-1009. As I mentioned ,They were friendly and helpful with my inquiries. Good luck.

I had this problem beginning of the summer, puled the same code and found the same info. The check engine light ended up going out and the shitty honda dealer by my house tried to charge me 40$ to look at it even tho its on warranty because the light was not on when i brought it in, and i even told them what was wrong and how it needed the softwear upgrade. Just gave up trying to deal with that honda because they wouldnt help me with anything i went to them with.
