MIL Comes On With DTC P0600
SYMPTOM
The MIL comes on with DTC P0600 (serial communication link malfunction).
PROBABLE CAUSE
When the ignition switch is on for about 4 or more hours (engine running or not), the ECM can misinterpret the serial communication signal and set DTC P0600.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Update the PGM-FI software with the HDS.
WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION
In warranty: The normal warranty applies.

NOTE: An incorrect HDS software version may indicate that the vehicle does not need an update. The updated PGM-FI software program ID and P/N is shown below. If this, or a later program ID, is the Current Program ID displayed during the update, the software for this service bulletin is already installed.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Update the PGM-FI software with the HDS and software version 2.009.007 or later. Refer to Service Bulletin 01-023, Updating Control Units/Modules.

GrandMasterKhan you are the man!!! Thank you so much!!! That was just in time for me to return the call from the service department saying there is no bulletin and that I need to leave the car for 4 hours for diagnosis.
I gave them 07-046 and told them I'll bring the text with me. Also the dude who picked up the phone seemed to remember a software update for the S.
