DIY bumper tab relocated
Hello everyone,
I was searching for one just to get an idea but to my surprise I didnt find one. So I decided to do one. It's very simple to do, we have DIYs for oil changes so I said why the heck not.
The reason for relocating the bumper tabs is if you are having rubbing issues, I rolled my fenders after my spacers and still was having rubbing issues so relocating the bumper tab was the next thing to solving my rubbing issues.
I have no more rubbing issues no matter how hard I tried
I apologize for the cell phone quality pics.
Tools Needed:
Jack
Jack stands
Phillips screw driver
Drill
Dremel or hacksaw
After raising the rear of the car and placing jack stands, this is what you have after removing the screw

Next thing to do is to do something about the bumper tab, I dont have a dremel so I just hammered away gently.

Now just make a new hole, try not to move it too far back. Make sure when you drill you are drilling through the metal of the car and of course the bumper

It's not pretty but it gets the job done
Everything looks the same from the outside

If anyone would like to add anything please share
