I bought an ap1 spoiler and i wanted to know before hand if the ap1 lip spoiler would cover the holes from an oem AP2 wing i hope it does.. I would just do a trunk swap but no one local has a gpw to do a swap with

 

Are both holes drilled on each side for your OEM ap2 wing? I put an ap1 spoiler on my S and drilled only the outside holes, then upgraded to an ap2 wing and the back holes are in the same place, but the ap2 wing you are suppost to drill another hole farther up. If both of them are drilled then the top ones will show. So you can bolt on the ap1 spoiler but you will be able to see the other holes drilled into the trunk.

 

^Same exact thing I did... I'm super glad I didn't drill the extra holes, or I would've been screwed. I just recently went back with my ap1 spoiler.

 

Yeah i'm glad I didn't drill the middle holes for the ap1 spoiler too or I would have been screwed. I only used the existing holes to mount my ap2 wing, I didnt drill the extra ones so if I ever take it off, I can easily put an ap1 spoiler back on it no problem with no extra holes. Just the 1 bolt on each side and the OEM double stick stuff on the bottom of the wing hold it on fine.

 

Do you guys know where I can get the bracket to install my OEM trunk spoiler?

It's a metal bracket that you screw onto the spoiler where the two holes are and there is another hole towards the end of the spoiler that lines up with the identification holes.




Can't seem to locate that piece anywhere!
