Default The mythical 300 mile tank.

For the record, I usually get 220-230 before my gas light comes on.

Driving consisted of:

85 miles freeway
15 miles in heavy traffic/around town/looking for parking
10 more miles freeway
5 miles heavy traffic/around town/looking for parking
100 miles freeway at... elevated speeds, including a run-in with a vette who would not let up
3 days of daily commute + around town.

Everything except the last day of daily driving was with a J's 70RR + tune. Stock exhaust + tune for the last day. 255 non-staggered tires on BBS wheels.

Anyone think I can hit 400 with some hypermiling?

How big is our gas tank, 13.2 gal. so if you take it easy you should be able to do that(400 miles). 13.1 X 30.5 = 400 so its up to your right foot, it takes courage and determination to do this though. Its not easy to do, the right foot keeps wanting to mash the peddle to the floor.

After owning my car for a year now, my MPG after tracking it for how many months goes between 27-29mpg consitantly and I get around 280 to 310 Per tank. I don't remember exactly if I ever got empty tank lights but I don't believe I ever waited to that point to refill.

I also daily my car, mix of highway and streets.

Anyways, I think 30mpg in the S2k is impossible in certain parts of California. When you're always climbing hills and stuck in traffic, it just won't happen. I know my best tank was 47.2mpg when I only had to fill up 1.x gallons for 72 miles...

I live on top of a mountain/hill so i drive and up down a GIANT ass hill all the time lol, still get around 27-29, sometimes 30-31. This is daily to work and with traffic and a/c. Its possible, and I still drive around 75 freeway all the time.

Just depends how many times your car hits that word called "vtec" lol.

sub 3k shifts, cruise at 2.5k. i don't know man. the same driving style nets me 24mpg in a van that usually gets 17mpg...so i'm pretty sure my driving habits are fine. i'm thinking its the "hit every red light and stop sign" deal + lights are about 2-3 minutes in length...
