Isn't it more prone to sucking up water now? Looks great though!

It sits in the same place that the AEM V2 sat when i was NA,that never gave me any problems (drive around the puddle) lol . I got sick of bogging down after being sat for a min and did not want to vent my hood :-)

Any way this can be done with aluminum piping instead?

Well, I have a more expensive but cleaner way to do it. I bought an inline pro relocation kit because I liked it better than the greddy one and I needed to move things around because of my greddy oil cooler. I got a flange made and welded an intake pipe that goes down instead of up. The filter sits right above the subframe where it has a little curved dish like area. PERFECT PLACEMENT. Nice, fresh, cool, quick air.

I don't have any great pics of it and I can't take anymore because I don't have an engine in the car at the moment. Here is a quick pic to kinda show what I mean.

I like alot AF .AJ yes you can, but more bends less air flow, plus if it got really wet i can get the filter back on the old position within 2 mins .
Off the top off my head three 45degree angles would be needed . 2 lengths off pipe sized to get you to where you whant the filter to be. Then you would whant to suport it .To much of a flap for me.Half hour and i was done sorted.

Good idea, why not use some mesh as well?.

However, isn't this the job of the intercooler to cool the air?
