Default Rattling roof tray

Right - no more fecking rattling!!!

That was a piece of cake to remove and a royal bloody arse to refit - taken about 3 hours but now, there is NO rattling / buzzing from the rear shelf area until I get to volume levels that are too loud to listen to. Also forced some spare carpet scraps up between the upper rear trim panel and the weather strip - that's the last of the major rattles.

Yet to try it out on the road but it's a massive improvement

3 Hours!!!!! It took me alot less than that to remove and refit all of the parcel tray plastics

Glad you can drive in peace...I know all too well how infuriating rattles can be!

That's 3 hours including all the trimming, cutting and sticking etc etc. Just not enough space in that area to work

It's a real shame the roll bars aren't easier to remove like the MX5, which is child's play...and they have carpet on the parcel shelf to exclude unwanted sound ingress.

The only thing left that vibrates is the lid of the rear storage bin - not sure i can do anything about that as it's the plastic flexing. After playing a LOAD of different music, the sound is just so much better - after a quick drive, a lot less road noise too.

Good effort! Is there any part of your car you haven't yet taken apart?

In terms of trim and instruments ... no Door cards are coming off this weekend and i'm going to do something about tidying up the boot too.

Yep - am not prepared to remove the tray completely as you can see the stuff in the boot so holes seemed the easiest solution. I wasn't expecting it to improve the bass level in the cabin as much as it has.
