MOT Changes, not long to go.
I've re-purchased a set of headlamp washers to have flushed-in to my front bumper. Much, much easier to do things that way than go 'it'll be alright' and then find myself with a car I cannot drive legally.
Guess it depends on the individual.

if you're going to retro fit stuff, why not fit a set of those self raising ones and flush them into the bumper ..... but as above, it's why i didn't get mine removed when I got the bumper resprayed - they're not that hideous.
Good call, better than the oversized love handles Honda put on.
Forgetting the detail of these proposed changes the thing I can't get over is the suggested revisions to the time scales.
I have often thought that all cars should be subject to a test annually regardless of age. My reason being Mr plod is so interested in eating his bacon butty and nicking us all for speeding and looking at nice pictures of us going over white stripes in the road that he no longer looks at the cars we drive.
I drive around London all the time and it amaze's me just how many nearly new cars are on nearly bald tyres, or with wheels clearly badly kirbed with the resultant tyres edges worn right away. About 2 weeks ago I sitting on the A406 not far from the Ace Cafe next to a BMW 3 series on a 10 plate with the cords showing on the outside of the near side front wheel. Who will and when would this twat get caught, an MOT might just land up getting the tyre replaced, but four years to the first crikey its beggars belief.

For these stupidly high performance cars it ought to include an alignment check, too. Probably a driver brain-check too.
I know this thread is old but I wanted to add, I was an MOT tester 5 years ago and that rule was there then, it's an old rule that is mainly ignored it seems - or is impossible to enforce frankly.
