Default Gator or DSS 2.9 Axles?

So, i'm still undecided on which rear, either Puddymod Stage 4, or Fullblown. If I do go with Puddymod, I need Axles. I filled out a "tech sheet" on Gators website, did not get any response. I called the guy up, and he seemed out of it. He didnt answer any questions and just told me to fill out a "tech sheet" online. I told him I already did, and asked him if he could get back to me once he read my tech sheet/ I still havent heard anything, so I am not sure what they can handle?. Anway, despite the CS aspect, anybody have experience with these? or DSS? The plan is to launch the car with drag radials on 12 lbs in 1st and 2nd........

I would say STAY AWAY from the DSS 2.9 axles. My original axles got the pitted cv-joints, and stuff are really expensive here in Norway. So i paid just a little more for the DSS axles than a new joint in Norway. Too bad I did.. After just a few weeks of normal driving they were making a lot of sounds when pulling off, in roundabouts etc. They had gotten a BIG slack just from normal driving after a few weeks ( 8 weeks tops). After some arguing, they took them back (through the dealer I bought them from) even though they didn't want to at first. After quite a while (a couple of months?), I got them back. Since they didn't write on the shipping document that they were reapired, I had to pay taxes (25%) ONE MORE TIME. They seemed tight and fine when I got them back, so I put them back on the car. Same shit again. Just a few weeks of normal driving, and this time one time on autocross they were the same shit and the joint got quite a bit of slack again. They will not repair them again, and they will not even answer my e-mails anymore. The least I would expect was to get my money back for this shitty axles.
So I have taken the crappy axles off again, and put the OEM axles back.. I will really recommend you NOT to buy the DSS axles. All this was on my car still being NA and 211whp.

^ hahha, I know I know. It's just I'm lazy to find the IRS rear ( I have looked and looked) and cheapest I can find the case is like $250, then the gears, then the LSD, then someone to build it, it will be almost 1,000 just for the Pumpkin. It's not the cost, I just feel like the Puddymod diff is less a pain. I guess I should stop being lazy. Probably a better question for FullBlown, but will the FB diff and 3.9 Axles be able to handle hard launching with Drag radials? I honestly just want to buy the Diff and Axles once, bolt em up and have fun this upcoming summer. I am not too concerned with tranny, as I will limit 1st and 2nd gear to 12 lbs.

I broke the ones that came with the R200 kit, I believe there were the 3.9's launching without any boost, upgraded to the 5.9's and never broke another axle. We left as hard at 8000RPM and ~15-20psi of boost.

Don't buy the wrong axle twice, just wait and buy the right axle once.
