^Nice work with all the bracing!

If you ask me, just buy a CR trunklid - it's only like $400 bucks and having the holes perfectly drilled is worth it alone. Drilling 6 holes perfectly is not easy and if you are even off by a little it will look funny.

I know a local guy who tried to drill his own CR wing and he mounted it too far back so it looks all funny.....

Here's a comparison of my 09 OEM trunklid and the CR trunklid so you can see the difference:

If I were to do it again, I'd probably buy it too. I like to fiddle, and I already had two trunklids, so I had at it.

Looks really clean

Do you have spacers? If so what size?

Thanks a lot !
I'm most proud of making things a little unique by doing it myself and fabricating stuff seldom seen like:
The roll bar covers,
the motorized front plate,
PRM with K&N box,
doing the trunklid as I did...

I think I'm done for now. I'd LOVE the SOS kit, but just going to keep it as is for now.

I think Rich's car is super awesome.

@ fasting - thx 4 the awesome pix of ur custom braces. i may have to try that too. sadly i don't have extra $400 cash for a CR trunk so i'm going to have to be creative like u. i would love to see more detail pictures of ur motorized front plate too if you don't mind

but for everyone else who has a CR wing on a non CR trunk without any custom brace....any one have dent/mis-alignment issue over long term?

also....is there any other place to shop for CR lip and wing other than HARDTOPGUYS? is the $60 mounting hardware (from hardtopguy site) really needed? or is it just some nuts and bolts i can get from home depot?

thx

Any Honda dealership can purchase them or you can buy them used.

From having the hardware I personally thing it's worth it. I prefer having the intended bolts/nuts than guessing. Some of them you can't replicate from the hardware store.

I have seen people using the Seibon version of the CR wing on a standard trunk without any braces. The trunk was dented and misshaped from the forces pushing down on the trunk. I would not run any wing without proper supports to reinforce the trunk.
