Default Rattle At 4500 RPM

Im having another issue with my car that im might be paranoid about.

At exactly 4500 rpm and some times at 3500 on the dot. i hear a rattle. i cant tell where its coming from tho. sounds like it coming from the firewall like its between the motor and petals. is this something that i should be worry about or have look at? if there was an issue with the motor it would sound thru all the rpms right?

I have zero rattles after 10+ years. Maybe you are speaking of the later model? Anyways go to the top of Under The Hood and you will find the Official Rattle Thread in the stickies. The most common rattle I have seen is the spare tire nut....on both models.

I have the same exact rattle. Found my issue today. I have a skunk2 exhaust and there's a plate that is just there for looks at the Y pipe that has cracked off at the weld. I'm sure you don't have the same exhaust, but I'd put my money on an exhaust related issue, whether it's a heat shield, the catalyst material inside the catalytic converter breaking apart (had this on my 01, and it rattled at those RPM's at first. Eventually it could be heard at idle), or a situation similar to my current exhaust.

Perhaps have someone rev the car for you as you listen around to pin point it. I personally used a hockey stick to rev mine so I could lay under the car at the same time

Utah i check that thread out i didnt see anything posted that was like my noise. the weird thing is tho its that i hear it at 4500 RPM at 4400 or 4600i don't hear a thing.

T-S.M.A.C you might be right. come to think of it the noise may have started when honda replaced the catalytic converter with a new one when the inside of my old one blew out and rip my 02 sensor apart. im gonna have to check it out maybe a loose nut or something
