2012 Woodward Dream Cruise 8/18 and 8/19!
First, I apologize for the delay in setting this up. I try to set up these meets three or four weeks in advance (at least), but I have been negligent here. The official Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise is Saturday August 18th. If you don't know what the Woodward Dream Cruise is, then see here: http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com Most years (except last year), I've thrown together a Friday night meet. Some years we've had huge turnouts on friday night, but lately it's been dying down.

This year, I'm proposing something for both Saturday and Sunday and we'll see how it goes.
1st meet
So, I am proposing two different Woodward Dream Cruise activities. One of my favorite ways to see the cruise is just by walking on Saturday. So, if anyone is interested in a walking only tour, please sign up. The plan will be to meet in Royal Oak (on the top level of the 514 S Lafayette Parking Structure) in the morning (lets say 9:00 a.m.) and to walk from 10 1/2 mile up to 13 1/2 mile and back (Woodward is at an angle so this is well in excess of a 6 mile walk). This is an ambitious walk (albeit at a slow pace). Dress appropriately, bring sunscreen, bring water. After we're done, we'll grab linner at one of the fine Royal Oak brew pubs (tbd -- most likely Bastone).
2nd meet
On Sunday, Woodward Avenue traffic becomes bearable, but there are still quite a few cruisers out. We will meet in the morning (exact time and location, tbd, but I'm thinking my office would be a fine starting spot) and cruise the entire stretch of Woodward with a stop for brunch (likely Original House of Pancakes, but I may nix that if we have too many cars).
So, please sign up for either or both meets individually:

I would like to check this out again, but am trying to sort out whether that will be a cottage weekend. If not I am totally in!

Would anyone be in for sure for either of these. I know I posted late; so, I blame myself for lack of interest. But if there is no commitments, we'll call this cancelled due to lack of interest, and hope to see everyone come out to the cider mill meet in September.
