Very nice, Andrew. Maybe I should do runs at Thunderhill with wing-on/wing-off. With the track's higher average speed, it might be more noticeable. I wonder if it makes any difference with the top up or down. Thanks for finding the graph

I would say top up has to help reduce drag and also make any rear wing more effective at reducing life or creating downforce. I am no aerodynamic engineer (I do watch a lot of Formula ! ), but I would think the amount of turbulence created by the open top would drastically decrease or completely cancel out any aero benefit the rear wing would create. Aero parts need airflow that is as smooth as possible to be most effective. The side strakes could very well help smooth out the airflow around the rear wheels and help reduce turbulence around the rear. Not something that anyone would ever notice but there could definitely be a non cosmetic reason for their existence even if it is a minor one.

I already see the wing causing some smudges on the taillights and the bumper. I'll need to install the extra stiffeners and cushions soon. Just waiting for a replacement part for my drill so I can finish the job.

You should be able to notice the difference of the wing on high speed sweepers on track. If you have the opportunity to run with & without the wing on track, that would be a good little test. Balancing the rear with some front aero will be beneficial in reducing the understeer up front during highspeed mid & corner exit. Using an OEM HT would help assist the rear CR wing as well.

Finally completed all the reinforcement and cushions on the trunk lid. I had to be careful not to drill too far, I didn't want any expensive mistakes. But now everything is complete, and I hope the cushions are in the right position.
UPDATE: Here are all the part numbers for the cushions:
There are 6 cushions to get. My install was different from OEM in that I didn't use nuts and bolts. I just used these tapping screws to install the trunk side stopper cushions. The other cushions only require two drilled holes each, and it already comes with 3M tape on the backside as well as an plastic insert that goes into the drilled holes.
Part number Part Name Quanity
93913-14280 SCREW, TAPPING (4X12) (PO) 4
74827-S2A-A00 STOPPER, TRUNK LID (LOWER) 2
74492-S2A-A00 STOPPER, L. TRUNK SIDE 1
74442-S2A-A00 STOPPER, R. TRUNK SIDE 1
74443-S2A-A00 PROTECTOR, TRUNK SIDE 2
Don't forget to order the CR trunk springs if you want to have the trunk lift up easier. You will need the trunk spring tool or you can use a long screwdriver to install them. I had the body shop install the trunk springs so I didn't have to do this on my own.

The two black cushions at the very top are the CR ones. They are taller than the stock ones right below it. I believe the top two push against the bumper, while the bottom two touch against the carpet trunk liner.

I did the best I could to match it with the lower set of cushions on the body of the car. Drilling it without pushing it too far was the most delicate part.

Passenger side.

Driver side.
These won't touch unless under downforce. This should protect the lid from warping on the corners.
Finally it's all complete. Maybe its ready for Thunderhill
