That is because you are 22 and have 3 tickets on your record.

I pay ~400 every 6 months for full coverage. Still have 1 point on my record.

WTF I'm 30 and pay 1100 for 6 months full coverage. Ghetto ass Los Angeles literally doubled my premium from La Mesa.

We should mention year of car as well mine is an '08 GPW driven less than 10k a year.
Stats:
No points on my license
No accidents ever
Licensed for 15 yrs
Discounts: distinguished driver, 6 month payments, multiple policies (renters insurance), alarm, garaged with security.

Mine's an 02, although it never differed from any of my cars. I've owned 02-07 all in the past two years.

00 gpw AP1, just turned 30 I live in Norwalk, no points or tickets or accidents in my record. I have State Farm full coverage $250 comp/collision deductable, liability, car rental/travel expense, uninsured motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle PD <what ever that means. I pay like $90-95 monthly. All of my aftermarket parts are covered, with out any hassle. Never had any issues (knock on wood)

Damn I'm jealous I feel like I'm getting raped with my prices. I tried a bunch of other places for quotes and all of them came back with a similar rate to what I'm getting,(Currently with Allstate) and they all said the reason is because of theft/population density in LA.

MY00 GPW.... 1 ticket Full coverage from (AAA) 15k miles a year Full coverage. Trick is get your house insurance from them if you own a house AND add another car on the insurance policy as well. I have a 2008 dodge 3500 cummins turbo diesel 900/year and my s2k is 400 for the year.

Tell them it is garaged even if it isn't. if you are a student include that you have 3.0 gpa. If you are an accredited teacher include that. You can get a bunch of discounts.

22 clean record with 0 tickets and I pay 240 per month with geico, I totaled my last s2k but before that I never had a ticket or crash and I'm still paying the exact same, but I need to find a cheaper insurance 240 for full coverage per month is way to much for my 8$ hourly pay

There are many things that affect premiums:

Insurance Company
Coverage limits and deductibles
Location
Age
Driving record
Primary/secondary vehicle
Annual mileage
Discounts (lojack, good driver, driving course, etc.)
Extra options (towing, rental cars, etc.)
Bundling (home/other cars)

unless everyone states all of these specs, it's almost pointless to compare.
