Default Considering an A-piller gauge pod

Some of the terms are not making sense being a newb in the SC arena. I was told the SC system needs a UEGO does it need a display?
Going with the AEM-2 system
I'd like to be low key as possible, A-piller 1 or 2 necessary gauges
The all in one is close to what I'd like, AEM Digital Serial Datastream Gauge.
seems almost right but has to dim for night driving. Night driving seems this might be distracting

$208

Are other areas to bolt on but not cut the dash?

I WOULD LOVE to have a VERY THIN rectangular digital display cut into the radio door.

any help would be greatly appreciated, links, I.Y.O.
thanks

I prefer the PLX unit. You can see 4 parameters simultaneously rather than having to switch between on the AEM. Only downside is having to buy the control modules for each parameter you want to see.

I have a single sos pillar with a serial and I love it. Now did have to take a heat gun to it and trim it a little for a perfect fit.

While I appreciate the functionality of pillar gauges, I always thought they looked tacky

^^ They kinda do...I opted for the dm100 Plx setup.

My setup, but all the colors are matching the instrument panel. They turn red once the sensors are reading beyond my set parameters. You can't get more discreet than that..

wow I like the PLX100, does in interface with the AEM2 or is it a totally independent system? .7" thick, look nice, better graphics
I went the the PLX site it locks up my browser can view their webpage
SOS told me to get the AEM UEGO. is the PLX sensor like the UEGO get one or the other?

What is the difference DM100 vs DM6? they booth seem to be multi gauge. Looks the DM100 is so last year. Its now a DM6

Thank for everyone's post, keep them coming.

Hmm. Didn't know the PLX could show that many parameters at once. I definately have to get one of those when the build is done and I can afford it!

I have an aem ems series 2 and I also have a gauge pillar with an aem serial gauge. I think everyone with an aem ems should have the aem serial gauge. The gauge will plug right into the aem ems and will read water temp, rpm, intake air temp, boost and many more. If you want the serial gauge to read air fuel you have to buy the aem inline wideband sensor with out the gauge. Only the older model aem ems series one 1052u has the built in uego
