From Voltex to Mugen
#26
Sorry for taking forever to update this. This was my finals week for the semester but it's finally over! I will update this tomorrow with more ugly pictures haha.
Thanks Chris. I must agree with you. It's not the most appealing kit for the S2000 but for some reasons that's why I also like it and the fact that it's not common like you mentioned. But what I love the most about it is its quality. This bumper fit much better than my voltex bumper AND the quality on is is so much better. Not saying the voltex one was bad but the Mugen is better. Overall I love the more simple look. A look that never will get old.
Can't wait to see your S too
I have always loved the track look on the S but to drive around town with a huge GT wing was a little to much haha. I did intend to track the car but I was never able to find the time to do it. The SS set up will make the car look like a regular street car again haha.
Thanks Mugen King!!!! Can't wait to see what's new with yours Jared!
I'll echo the sentiments already expressed in this thread. Voltex or Mugen or whatever is cool to see, you have excellent taste and i'm sure the new iteration will come out looking awesome as well! Glad you made a build thread!
I'd also like to mention: The Mugen kit is NOT the most beautiful aero kit, but i love it. There's just something that you can't put your finger on that makes it so special. Maybe it really is the rarity? i don't know. It helps that there were no really good replicas of the kit. The ASM and Voltex front ends got SUPER played out very fast simply due to all the replicas that ran rampant in the U.S. market. I actually think the Voltex and ASM front ends are much more aesthetically pleasing than the Mugen, but again, there's just something about it. Maybe it's the rarity....or that smile...or just all that carbon haha.
Can't wait to see it in person and meet you Edgar!

I remember your car when it was in OEM state, which was awesome, and when you upgraded to Voltex I drooled for weeks. I'm sure your next transition is going to be amazing as well!
