I also have a '05, second one actually, for me it is more a matter of comfort. I am a bit taller, and on many smaller bikes my legs feel cramped, whereas on the 'busa I can stretch out more, at least until I meet the minimum age requirement to get one of the Goldwing or BMW touring monsters. I also don't push mine, generally a few miles over the speed limit, but I live in Asheville, NC, so with the Dragon about an hour away, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the countless other mountain roads I've accumulated over 35k miles on the second bike, and until it was stolen, was pushing 20k on the first.

I've had a couple. I had a CBR 600, GSXR 750 and ZX10, but absolutely loved the larger size of the Hayabusa. What a wonderful machine.
