While this would be an extremely fun car to own. The gas mileage and reliability are both concerns. I know this since I currently drive a 2004 Jeep Cherokee V8 High Output (awful gas mileage and a variety of issues)

It seems to me the Most Fun for the money you have to either go Mini Cooper S or GTI ! and if necessary buy the cheapest used truck you can find later .
