Yeah on the way to Clingman's Dome 2015 one of the drivers in our group got a tire onto the shoulder, and while attempting to get back onto the road he cut the sidewall of a tire. The drop-off was just enough to create a sharp edge on the asphalt and it cut a tire. Sucked for them as they had to head into Maryville to find a tire shop and missed the rest of the day's drive.

This looks like a long but great itinerary. I'm in! I spend enough time in Toronto I'm almost a Canadian already!

LOL.
IDK
Worth an attempt but I think we will have to adjust that a bit. Google says that would be 9.25 hrs of driving Saturday plus rollout visit, lunch, gas and look out stops.
Boils down to how much faster than google can we drive.?

We'd love to have you Adnan, it will be nice to meet up again since 2015, and to see your amazing ride again. :

Thanks Joey. It will be nice to see and hear the Mugen S again :-) I've made a few changes too...but the biggest will be I will, for the first time, have some good tires this time!

Dave, love the enthusiasm you guys bring. I wouldn't mind if we got back super late but I'll go with whatever you guys decide.

I also have better tires this year. My tires were the biggest disappointment when I was there last.

What are you running or thinking of running? I still haven't bought mine yet. In deep research mode...

Don't know about Joey, but I've been running Dunlop Direzza Sport II on both S2k's and really like them.

I'm reviewing the Nexen Sur4 200 tread wear tire for tire rack...go ahead and pass on those. I've always been a fan of the RE11s or Star Specs as well.
