Pulsing/Flashing Cluster after swap
Have any of you guys experienced a pulsing or light flashing speedo cluster after your swap? I've got the typical LS1 swap from an '02 WS6, stock alternator, stock S2000 battery size in the stock location. I know that our cluster is a bit sensitive to voltage/amperage as I've heard that when the F20/22's alternator is going bad it will cause the cluster to pulse/flash like this. Something about the rectifier in the alternator going bad and needing to be replaced.
I wasn't sure if this was a side-effect of switching to the LS' alternator which may not be delivering the same voltage/amperage that the F20 alternator did and therefore causing the cluster to pulse, or maybe my LS' alternator is going bad?
Cold starts are a little sluggish on cold mornings, but I've not experienced a dead battery or charging issues as of yet.
The video doesn't show quite the actual severity of the pulsing; its a bit more pronounced in real life versus the video.

What is handling your Alternator exciter wiring? I ask this because on a few year Fbodies the ECU handled it, but on other years the chassis harness handled it with a resistor/dummy light to reduce voltage. As I understand it the alternator expects 5-7 volts into a single input wire and it uses that input range to excite the correct amount of voltage from the alt.
You could be frying the rectifier. I've killed 2 alternators so far before I got rid of my alternator wiring on the harness. I am now using a 85 OHM 5 Watt resistor into 1 of the 4 plugs wires.
Alternatively something got fubared when you spliced the RPM signal and the CEL signal
