Hey Laurance, so you are planning to leave Italy on the Monday morning & make it back to the UK for the Tuesday night?

Are you planning to use the Eurotunnel or a ferry?

I might take you up on your kind offer

Will you get back from Italy in 2 days worth of driving? How many hours are you planning on driving per day as I am travelling alone and according to Google maps it is 850 miles & 13.5 hours driving from the meet to your place.

Martin, I was aiming to get to somewhere around Aachen on Monday (550 autobahn miles), which would leave 200 miles to Calais through the busy bit of belgium\france, the tunnel and another 100 miles to our place on the Tuesday.

Are you guys sharing the driving as I am not sure that I can cope with 550 miles in one day?

I might look to break it up and do 2 nights on the way back with the 2nd night being closer to the tunnel / ferry and then just drive straight back home from there. Not 100% sure what to do at the moment

Yes, we went through Austria, avoided Switzerland, and then Germany, maybe Belgium and France. I have confirmed it was Stuttgart we stopped and and there was much shouting. Also hobbling as a result of drunken balcony shenangians.
