Default Cutting out the resonator? Sound clip?

I read some past threads on cutting out the resonator. I'm thinking of going to a muffler shop and doing this. I'm still trying to see how the sound change is. Is it noticable and anyone have a clip?

so basically its the winie sticking out and your not supposed to cut the winie but the pipe above it?

I kept the resonator in, but changes the mufflers to Magnaflow. Sounds nice and looks great. Great back pressure too!

Do not remove the stub. It's there to reduce exhaust booming at certain frequencies. Remove the mini-muffler. The removal will just increase the sound of the stock exhaust. If you want a slightly sportier sound and don't want to spend money on an aftermarket exhaust, or if you like the look of the factory tailpipes, this is a good mod.

Had mine taken out today.. It's a great mod. Not to loud but you get a nice mellow tone that complements the engine sound. I HIGHLY reccomend this 20 dollar mod!!
WATERMAIN has it nailed... I love it... I'm 48 yrs. old.. and was kind of sceptical about this but went for it ... It's only 20 bucks and can be put back in... mines not going back in.. DO IT.. you will like it!!

Can you add the "stub" to an aftermarket exhaust system to reduce the sound? Invidia is very loud...even with silencers.

Don't worry about it. It has no effect on the power output one way or the other. It just gives the car a nicer sound. Just go do it. Afterward you will be kicking youself for not doing it sooner.
