Good to read that first thread though, most of them have a sensible appreciation of what cars can do what.. Several of their, I beat a 360CS type posts get responded to with, "but was he trying?"..

He may well have been trying. However, to some people, trying is changing up at 7000rpm unless they really know the cars powerband. I'll bet there's a few s2000 owners who are too scared to go all the way to 9000rpm for fear of breaking things. We all, of course, know better and would never lose to a Clio
