Default My new F24 build

Just finished tuning of a friend's F24 build. Specs:

K24 crank
Darton sleeves
Custom Crower rods
Custom JE pistons 88.5mm (2436cc, 12:1 compression)
Ported head
Stock cams (F20C) and valvetrain
J'S Racing header
76mm custom exhaust with 76mm Skunk2 universal muffler
DH-Racing ported intake manifold
DH-Racing 74-68mm throttle
Hondata intake manifold gasket
Koyo rad, Mugen thermostat
AEM EMS

In the next few weeks we will experiment on Toda A2 and possibly hytech cams and cam gears.

***UPDATE: 27.6kgm of torque equals 200lbft. At the hubs!****

that's pretty cool..Do you have a stock s2k that you ran on that specific dyno to somewhat compare the numbers?

Nice work. You'll make more power with different camshafts since the AP1 camshafts make peak power at 8.25k and you're at 8.

great numbers and build.

I'll be checking this build for those different cam results.

THis is F24 vs a bone stock AP1 on the same dyno. Watch how 'small' are stock cams for this motor. VTEC kicks in at 4000rpm and it still seems it needs it lower. I was concerned about oil pressure issues and didn't move it any lower. Power seems to start falling after 7700rpm despite the headwork. THe motor screams for cams...

The engine has only 600 miles on it. The rev limiter will be increased to 8300 after the cam install, we just want to see how it behaves now. Rod/stroke ratio is 1.47 and this is a daily driver with just 12:1 compression. Torque monster definately. I expect to see at least 15whp with cam and cam gears (and after a few thousand miles. The engine is still tight).

Dynapack 2000. As mentioned, bone stock F20C's are about 200whp on this dyno.
