If Hondas idea of a s2000 replacement is the same as their idea of the nsx replacement...what then?

it will be a 90k car with heavy bs and slow that no one will buy
This. Honda is trying to compete in the Hybrid hyper/supercar game others are. They need to stick to their roots. I drove a SS a week ago. Very nice car. Interior isn't what you would expect from GM. GM reliability is questionable but there are two things they do right, v8's and the transmissions attached to them.

Some of the U.S. auto makers are taking a lot more risk, and put out more affordable/interesting, products than the Japanese. I mean, how long are we going to wait for Honda/Toyota to be great again? More of their long term customers will start crossing over to other brands. I exclude Mazda from this criticism as they managed to keep the Miata in production for over 25 years and continued innovate and make it better. Granted, it is not an s2000.

A s2000 it isn't but 0-60 (not sure 1/4, or lap times) the ND is comparable. But unless you're only interested in new cars. I don't see a reason to get it over a 15k s2000. In a couple years, I can see it being a performance gold mine like the s2000.
The US automakers are take bold steps and succeeding right now when it comes to performance. Sadly, Japan is falling far behind.

100% agree. Also excited to see what the new Grand Sport can do.
