Thanks for the heads up. Looks like the nearest one is in Oregon. LOL. I think I'll just buy it online or something.

I know this is an old post, but i just ordered some ballistic nylon and picked up some E6000 at Ben Franlkin's. They carry the E6000 cause they use the stuff for craft projects and such. Gonna use a putty knife to put on the E6000 to make sure its a nice even coat :-)
Anyone have any pics of their DIY's, before and after? And what should i do with the top of the convertible top? Ty and hello :-)

Aaron might have some DIY's of top repair but it's not with these patches used previously. Everyone that had posted no longer has an s2000

This is all I got. The only extra thing I would suggest is to make the patch extra long. Mine came undone because the frame bar slid across my patch and eventually hooked a corner and pulled the patch off.
Doing it again, I'd be sure to cut a strip that was long enough to extend beyond the frame bar's range of motion.

Thanks for the response and the shared link#172CR and Sabre Gonna run the Ballistic Nylon along the inside on both sides even though the tear is only on drivers side. Also gonna look for other wear spots where the bars rub and run strips along there too. I'll take a pic of the tear just for fun and post them shortly.

Good idea, especially to reinforce those wear spots.

Possibly ironic usernames aside, I just replaced my OEM soft top with a Robins Stayfast and my OEM is just hanging out in my garage.

I'll gladly hack it up if you want some of the OEM vinyl for patches, just let me know if you're interested.

Thank you for the offer and the irony lol. Right now I have some ballistic nylon ordered from Amazon so I'm gonna try that, but I'll let you know if I need any soft top material Ty :-). What happened to your old top? Did it just wear out or tear one too many times? I'm bummed that my top tore since it was in such good condition. I forgot to slide the bar back that's closest to the soft top latches. Those elastic bands that are there are no longer functional. Gonna order new ones from modifry.

I had a lot of wear spots and a bunch of holes on the corners where the frame slides.

I also highly recommend the Modifry elastic. Way easier than replacing with OEM style elastic.
