Default Koni yellows with Swift sport springs, pictures and/or reviews?

Hey all,

I don't want coilovers! I want something simple and easy. I was thinking Koni yellows with Swift sport springs. Does anyone have pictures and/or reviews of this set up? I want a similar stiffness as stock and a slight drop no more than an inch...what perch and damper setting would be reccomeded? I have a 2001 stock 123K mile suspension atm.

Bergan County New Jersey and sorry no i don't. Should be removing them from the car though over next weekend to put a set of new Ohlins DFV'S on. So I could take pictures of them for you then, only good luck to me trying to figure out how to post them on here, where if you don't mind are you from?

I'm in northern VA, but I grew up in Bergan county and my family still lives there. I go up a few times a year so if the price is right this may work.

I just swapped my koni yellows/swift springs with a set of Ohlins over the past weekend. This is my second s2000 and second set of koni/swift combo. I honestly loved that setup. They ride smoother than stock IMO and the drop on the lower perch looked perfect to me.

The only reason I replaced my koni/swift combo was to go with Ohlins since they are suppose to be amazing. The Ohlins are definitely nicer than my Koni/Swift but for something simple and for someone on a budget, you can't go wrong with the koni/swifts. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Here's my car on the Koni Yellows with Swift springs on the lower perch.

Konis are excellent dampers. They ride well when they're left at relatively high ride heights. If your Öhlins are more comfortable on the road than your previous Koni yellow/lowering spring combo, its most likely because you were set up too low on the Konis.

OP...Koni/Eibach Pro Kit is a good combo that leaves enough (reasonable) shock travel and ride comfort.

I've never tried Koni/Swift.

But...IDK why coilovers would be any more complicated than Koni and lowering springs. Bilstein PSS/PSS9 is as simple and easy as the koni/lowering spring combo...but has added benefit of customizable ride height. Set the height you want. Forget its adjustable after that, if you want simplicity. They also retain the monotube, external reservoir configuration that the car came with. That helps with suspension feel/response and also shock travel.

I would recommend the Spec R springs over the sport springs. For the money you get a lot more performance and since they're linear, they ride really well too. Ride height is lowered 1.25" though, but what's a 1/4 inch between friends?
