Default Anyone use Innovate LM2?

The feedback seems to range from awesome to junk. Looking for a WB O2, OBD2 and data logger. I also like the AEM failsafe (similar price), but the FS does not have OBD2. Also I am looking for more of a tuning tool, not a permanent gauge.

Thoughts?

Is it just for tuning your car? What kind of ecu/system are you going to use?
Normally the best approach is to have the wideband permanently installed and connected directly to the ecu.

My car is basic. A cheap piggyback like a neo. Just checking AFR through WOT.

That's what I run these days, but have always had a permanent AEM wideband gauge in place from my boosted days. I just do the "unsafe" old school method of looking at it in real time for tuning. Still better then reading plugs

Failsafe seems the way to go for an install job. It has everything I need in one setup. However the LM2 expanded kit can be had for not much difference in price. Then i can datalog all the OBD2 functions, plus a bunch of other tools for tuning different cars.

If I was boosted or ran on the edge I would go with an installed AEM. Because I will be doing some very light tuning (lower VTEC, and closed loop fuel tuning, I don't see the need for an install gauge.

Reading plugs... ugh....

Did those on MX bikes for years. Warm up bike, install new plug, run at WOT or 1/2 or whatever carb circuit you are looking to tune. Check plug, make adjustments. Install new plug and go again. Fun Fun Fun....

How are you going to do closed loop tuning with a Neo? E manage, yes. But the Ultimate has data logging so sort of moot for you I guess. You mean 'open loop'?

otherwise sounds interesting. Id love to have the ability to data log my fuel curve for tuning. Would make a lot easier and help with troubleshooting.

Yeah meant open loop. (WOT)

For this level of tuning, just need to log a/f and RPM. The rest is just a bonus.
