So what you are saying is the dyno CNC did of the skunk2 K series manifold with adapter on a nearly stock f20c is not indicative of what the F series ultra race product they are about to release will do? I assumed the skunk2 F series one will be very similar to the K series but without he need for fuel rail or head adapter plates...

I can't say anything for certain, but my *best guess* is that the ultra race F series will show more of a drop in midrange power than the K with the adaptor. The adaptor adds a good 1/2-5/8" to the runner length, this brings the torque peak closer to a reasonable range. Also, the F22 and F20 will behave differently because of the longer stroke on the F22.

Based on measurements of the Ultra Race, I think its a very good full on drag race intake, it should have a torque peak close to 10,000 RPM. That's great for a drag race intake, but is not so good for street or track use where you need a broader torque curve. I have little doubt the Ultra Race will show an increase in top end HP and peak HP, but I don't think it will be a good choice for street or track use. Also, to take advantage of shifting the torque curve up, you'll need race cams and some serious head work.

I really have no idea why Skunk2 is going to make a product for the 0.1% of S2K owners that want a full drag race intake instead of the 20-30% who would gladly spend money for a product that improves street use.

Where are all the specs on it? I can't seem to find them...wasn't aware Skunk2 had already released specs on it...I guess the only way we will know is if they do a dyno on it soon.

So it looks like you have to buy a 90mm throttle body from them or an adapter to make this manifold work...

Some previous posts listed specs on the runner length, but I think these were off the K series manifolds. The F series looks like its exactly the same, except only difference is the head mounting bolt pattern.

I have the F series Skunk2 mani in my hand. They are 6.5" runner length. Same as K series

Contacted Skunk2 (support@skunk2.com) to see if they have any plans to make a ultra street intake for the S2K:

Hi guys,

I understand that you’re getting ready to release the Ultra Race intake for the F series S2000 engine.

Thats great for drag racers, with a 6.5” runner length, it should yield a torque peak around 9000-10,000 RPM.

Unfortunately that’s not so great for street/track users where we need torque peak around 5000-6000.

The Ultra Street with 8.75” runner length would be PERFECT for 99% of S2000 owners who are not drag racers.

I know a lot of S2000 owners including myself who would gladly pay for street/track intake like the Ultra Street.

Would you guys ever consider making an Ultra Street intake for the S2000?

If not, would you consider selling just the plenum chamber? I have a few extra S2000 factory intakes and I could fabricate an adaptor piece that so that you plenum could bolt up to a modified factory intake.
They have no interest in making an Ultra Street intake for the S2K. The ultra race is effectively useless for anything other than drag racing, so we're on our own.

Here's their reply:

As of right now, I believe the RACE will be our only offering for the S2000.
The OEM Manifold is designed very well so I'm not sure if a Street-type would be something offered down the line.

As far as the plenum goes, the RACE plenum would certainly be something we can sell individually down the line once we get deep into production.

So are you saying a simple spacer like they used on the K series to mount it to a s2000 (adapter plate) adds the 2" necessary to show the nice gains CNC saw? maybe they should just make a plate of different thicknesses so you can tune the powerband.

To be honest all of this seems like conjecture...we need a dyno with the F series skunk2 ultra manifold...
