I'll have a friend reweld the BC rails so I'm not too worried about the reports of poor welds. I'm not in a rush to install them but will post in this thread when I eventually do.

It doesn't seem like too many people have EVO 2's vs regular EVOs and recaro/bride seats. Sparco's naming convention with their EVO 2/EVO 2 plus, Evo plus is as clear as mud though, so sometimes you may not be comparing apples to apples with an older version of an evo 2..

FYI the Evo 2 does not fit between buddyclub rails, the width of the fiberglass butt section wont allow it to mount lower the the height of the rail, so you have the mount the seat higher than the factory rail, there will be a few inches below the base of the seat to the floor pan. No bueno.

I got my Evo 2 to fit, but barely. and it required some offset sidemounts and welding 2x3/16" flat steel to the front of them to make an integrated floor and seat mount. I had to install a bolt in the right rear hole and drill a hole in the body with a backing plate.

Even after trimming the fiberglass on the seat the only Way I can get the seat in and out is to install the inside mount onto the seat, while its out of the car, and install the door side mount in the car. Slip the seat in, get the bolts in to the chassis (rear is a stud with a nut and backing plate on the bottom) and then I'm able to slip the seat mounting bolts into the door side mount and get them threaded and tight. It's a serious PITA but it does work, and even with a 330mm diameter 90mm offset steering wheel I'm able to see the entire tach, and pass the broomstick test with the padding in the seat.

Photos are before paint and cleanup, ran out of gas on the welder mid way through of course. The seat touches the rollbar and rear shelf area, it took a ton of measuring and about 6 hours to get it all right. But it fits perfect, the bottom fiberglass is only about 1/8" off the carpet and it couldn't be closer to the back. I'm really happy with it.
Nicely done, thanks for the post!

Are you sure yours is an EVO 2 not EVO 2 US? I know the EVO 2 US has a lot of problems with rails. Also, does anyone happen to have the exact width between the mounting points for the oem location? I have BC rails and can snap some pictures with them on the Sparco 2, but I'm not sure if they're set wider than the oem mounting points. If someone could get me the measurement (width) between the two front mounting holes and two rear I can be sure whether the rail will fit.. Hopefully it fits..

So the mounting width is about 17" or 17 & 1/8" between the oem mounting points, width wise. Looks like the BC rails wont in fact work like you said sirbikealot7. Super.. I'll update the thread when I get some time to mess with them on making them fit.

I think my seat is a regular EVO 2 but its old. I got them super cheap from a guy who put them in a project 911 that never ended up driving. They are dated 2001 but look brand new. I think the only reasonable way to make them fit, if you really need a large seat and every bit of head and leg room is to build some rails like I did. It's an involved process to get everything to fit right but its worth it in the end. I still have to do the passenger side. I'm really not looking forward to it

I spent a little time messing with the rail and measured the oem mounting holes and it looks like it will in fact work, it just won't be lower than the oem seat (at least by much). It doesn't look like it'll be higher though. For some this might be a problem but it's not too big a deal to me (I'm not that tall). Of course I haven't tried dropping the seat in with the rails, I'm just referring to literally the bc rails bolting onto the EVO 2 seat outside of the car, and the width of the rails is at or very close to the factory width. I measured that at 17" or 17 & 1/8". I might have to cut the seat to clear the tranny tunnel but as long as I don't have to cut off several inches that's fine by me.

RIght on, hopefully it works for you. I cannot drive the car safely without having the bottom of the seat touching the floor, so it was the only option I saw. Bolting it on on prefab rails will be 100x easier, plus someone who is shorter than you can still drive the car.

I got PCI fixed (adjustable, non-slider) mounts and have a couple of Sparco Ergo Mediums on their way. I'm 6'2" so hoping to go as low as possible.
I'm curious to hear how those seats work out for you! I have a Ergo Large that I started a project to fit into the car, which I never completed. I'm not sure if it's possible. But the seat is super comfortable, fits me perfectly, and actually has the shoulder belt holes at the right height for me, so I really hope I can make it work. I recall the Medium is significantly smaller, so I think you'll be ok with that one.
Same here. I took a very long time to figure out what seats I fit properly in vs what seats fit into the car. The selection is pretty limited, as you know!

I felt great in the Ergo Large as well, like you said the shoulder belt pass-throughs were actually in the right spot if not a bit high. But looking up the dimensions and measuring the car, I didn't think the Large would go in very easily. Then I found out that Sparco makes a Medium and upon checking the dimensions, they seemed to be a good fit for both me and the car. I tried the Medium out in a fellow enthusiast's 240Z and decided to pull the trigger!

Shipping is taking forever but I hope to have them next week. I'll try to post up and report on fitment.

Sorry for the lack thereof! Fedex is taking there sweet time with shipping. The seats left Italy on 10/3 and have been sitting in Paris (CDG) for 5 days, according to tracking. I'm thinking they must be walking them over...

I've managed to fit my Evo 2 Plus (now called the Evo 2) with the PCI Adjustable mounts. PCI Website Link
I had to trim the seat quite a bit for it to clear the transmission tunnel. If not, the seat was offset to the left and felt like I was driving a '63 cobra.
