any one have advice/input on where to get valves adjusted in Minnesota?
I'm new here so not sure if this is the place for this but its under the hood related so...
I was driving today and developed a rattle in the engine bay and upon searches online I believe it may be the tct needs to be replaced. I'm not worried about the labor in that, it seems to be fairly simple. however I have seen several mention that it is a good idea to get the valves adjusted as well. I'm not a very seasoned mechanic so I'm curious if anyone happens to know a good place to take it to around the Minneapolis area of MN. its a 2000 ap1 no mods.
any input is greatly appreciated. would be great to find someone around here who knows there way around this car and hopefully I can get this sorted out because its a real pain.
thanks in advance

Posting on Midwest S2000 Club section may work better. Good luck!

Simple but tedious in your driveway after the car has sat all night (stone cold engine). Plenty of instructions and photos in the maintenance section here. $10 tool and $10 bent feeler gauges are the basics. New set of gaskets all around (Honda shop manual states "replace" for most gaskets any time they come off). You'll be turning the engine over by hand and that's easier with the plugs out. Why not replace them too? Find another S2000 owner and do two cars.
Honda 4-cylinder motorcycle engine looks just like the S2000 with the valve cover off. A good Honda bike shop may be a place to have it done. Engine still has to be cold as there's no hot spec I could find.

Cold is a relative term, cold according to the eggheads is 108°F or lower. With a fan blowing on the exposed valvetrain you can get a car at the correct temperature in an hour or two.

Under 100°F is the cold spec spec for valve adjustment. Just driving moving car out of the garage exceeded that according to my IR temp wand. Had to sit for probably a couple of hours before it dropped below that point. Hence the recommendation for sitting overnight. Don't be impatient.

Caught you over here (from Under Hood section). A friend that lives near St Cloud U, takes his S2000 to here:
http://www.sportscarguys.com/Midwest...pen_House.html
The place is in Sauk Rapids, which is a good 70 miles north of Minneapolis. But, he says they are very familiar with foreign cars. The MG/Triumph Club of MN goes to Midwest Motors for their annual open house. Anyhow, give Midwest a call, they may know of a good shop in Minneapolis area.
