Default Thinking of moving to FL.......

Whats up fellas, I just quit my job recently and have been thinking about moving to FL and starting a new career down there. I'm just trying to get some ideas of where a good place to move to would be? I'd like to be somewhat close to a nice beach, but I'm not trying to pay a lot in rent and all. Also, are there alot of jobs available in the area? I just want some advice, as to if this would be a good decision to make, and good areas and all. Also, if anybody knows of good places online to look for apartments/houses to rent and work in the area, please let me know! Thanks in advance.

why are you thinking of moving to florida.. did some movie or tv show make you think something or friends you have moved here.. maybe family members.. or is it a great adventure.. any reason works.. plan out as required... area's are better suited to one if one lays out what one is an wants to accomplish... is there work... sure.. there's work everywhere... is it what you want.. no one but you can answer that...

beaches are nice an i don't think rent is the same anywhere so something could be had... though you may want to really be here to see before some pretty photo rents you a place in the sun... people on the board here would tell you if that's not maybe a better place to be safe and maybe rental agents might not see it such.. who can say...

What part of Fl? If you are moving to S. Fl. and your S is not garaged you might want to invest in a hardtop.

Florida is one of the hardest states to find a job in depending on your skillset... like others have asked, what do you do?

If you're thinking about the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area, let me know. We may be renting out our house. Nice 3 car garage too!

i will go with johns thoughts, unless you own or start your own buisness.
florida has the highest unemployment in the country, also the pay scale sucks!
my self i am a fully certified marine mechanic, i moved to florida 6 years ago
to purchase a marina in the gulf after i started the job i found out the owner was full of crap so we parted ways.
so i went all over central florida looking for a job.
to my surprise the best pay offered was $15.00 per hour. i told people i was making that when i graduated in 1997 so i decided to look around at other options.
i now own a seamless gutter buisness and do quite well! just my 2 cents!
but really, think it over and have a job before you come!
at what ever you do! jobs are very hard to find right now down here!
