Default Shifter "sticks" in gear

Ive noticed fairly frequently that when trying to shift out of gear I have put a bit more effort than other times to get the shifter into neutral. It's never really stuck, but definitely not smooth. I'm planning on regressing the shifter this weekend and replacing the plastic nub on the bottom but I have never seen this specifically mentioned, anything else I should check or will the re-greasing likely cure it? Sometimes it's butter smooth as it should be and other times it "sticks" a bit.

It could be your clutch as well. If the clutch isn't fully opening you would feel resistance in the shifter when changing gear.

I know my clutch slave is leaking and that's getting replaced this weekend as well, pretty sure there's a fair amount of air getting into the line.

Well that could very well be your issue. If there is air in the clutch line it will compress and may not fully disengage the clutch. That would result in difficulties getting it into and out of gear.

This. Our cars are susceptible to several possible things that can result in clutch not fully disengaging.

Number one on that list is air in the lines.

Still to this date, 0 shifters greased. Don't bother. Your clutch is not disengaging completely.
