So i just replaced the clutch in my car. I did it this past weekend and while putting the tranny back in, when i felt the shifter it was stuck up like it was in 3rd. So i pulled it down and it popped and now it works but its loose. While its in gear I can move it in a 2 inch circle. Its like this in every gear and the throws arent as short. So whats wrong? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

 

Did you have the clutch pedal in while you were yanking on the gear shifter

 

Yeah i had the pedal in. I dont know what it is. It stays in gear but the shifter is loose.

 

You'll prolly have to take that $hit apart and replace what ever is worn out.
