I went on my second ElliptiGO group ride this morning. When we started it was about 47 degrees F and it was 77 degrees when we finished. Whereas I normally start my rides at 2 PM, or later, which makes me finish in the dark with my lights, this group meets up at 8 AM, rides to a breakfast place and then rides back. This was not a ride for beginners. We managed to get 2,749 feet of elevation gain in 20.0 miles. That's more than I get when I ride Santiago Canyon (~2,630 ft.) for 36 miles.

We stopped at about 14 miles and had breakfast at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. I joined in this time, and started with a delicious Bloody Mary, before having french toast, eggs and bacon. Yum! Over the past seven days I've ridden 123.3 miles and got in 8,275 feet of elevation gain. I'm happy with that. I think it's my best week yet on the ElliptiGO.

^Eight ElliptiGOs. This was the first time I've ever locked mine.

By a very wide margin. I had it made from a low Iron content glass called "Starphire" glass, which doesn't have a greenish tint to it like regular plate glass does. And I had this tank made rimless - all glass with no plastic frame or rims of any kind.
I got my first aquarium when I was nine. This one is every bit as exciting for me. Rori is quite amused at the way I've been carrying on about this tank. She didn't think I had any little kid left in me.

There was, of course, an unexpected wrench thrown into the works just a few minutes before we were to leave to pick up the aquarium.
As we were leaving the house I went to top off my portable liquid O2 unit. I plugged it into the valve on the reservoir tank, filled the portable, then pulled it free from the reservoir valve. As my luck would have it, the valve on the reservoir stuck in the open position, filling the room with a mist of -300*F liquid Oxygen, and completely emptying the entire huge tank. So I had to stay home while Rori and my stepson picked up my tank. While I stayed home nursing frost bitten fingers and waiting for the O2 tech guy to show up. Good times.

$900.00 to come to Jersey? That's a tad pricey.

Yeah, I can get it cheaper but still, the weather makes it bad to travel.
